How’s everyone doing today? My morning has not started off the best
I woke up this morning to hit the gym per usual and could feel the blister I mentioned last night rearing its ugly head. I knew right away that I wouldn’t be able to run, but I got dressed and figured I’d hit the elliptical. And then I put on my sneakers
Holy cow – it was like my skin was ripping open and I was walking on shards of glass. I don’t know what it is about this particular spot on my foot or this particular blister but it HURTS. I tried to walk around my bedroom for a bit to see if things would get better, but there was just no way I could accomplish the workout I had planned (I also planned to do legs – I can’t even imagine doing squats and lunges with this thing).
I generally suffer from SEVERE gym guilt, so I’m trying really, really, really hard not to let it ruin my day! It’s better to let this sucker heal up and feel better tomorrow than to suffer all week with it, right? I look forward to waking up tomorrow morning and getting a great workout in!
I am SO STOKED to try breakfast this morning! I’m warning you that the picture of my oats doesn’t look that appealing, but I am banking on these being amazing. There is Greek yogurt in it and when I make overnight oats with yogurt, I like to use slightly less oats than I normally would because the yogurt packs so much nutrition on its own. So I’m warning ya – the pic looks watery, but once I nuke these at work, I bet they’ll be fantastic!
Cinnamon Caramel Oats
In the mix:
- 1/3 cup oats
- 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 4 oz container of Oikos caramel Greek yogurt
- dash of salt
- splash of vanilla
- cinnamon
Toppings:
- One spoonful of Peanut Butter & Co’s White Chocolate Wonderful PB
This peanut butter rocks, you guys. BUT you definitely have to appreciate sweet things. It adds a ton of sweetness to that classic PB taste we all love. PB&Co has SO many delish flavors and I plan to try all of them and report on my fav. But I can only have one at a time for monetary purposes
So bear with me…I WILL try them all. I’m going for the maple flavor next…Mmm!
It’s important to mention that this PB, like all of the nut butters I eat, is all natural and contains no hydrogenated oils. Woo hoo!
Over the next 3.5 days, I’m in all day meetings at work. You know what that means? FREE FOOD ALERT!!! I actually still packed my lunch because truthfully – even though it’s free – I’d prefer my own cooking to cafeteria food (It may be free, but it only comes from the caf). Know what I’m sayin’? And how could I resist that leftover soup from last night? I just couldn’t! And spinach too! Woo hoo!
I think the folks in my meeting will be jelly of my eats
I hope I don’t come across as a snob for bringing my own stuff. I figured I’ll try it out tomorrow and if I really stick out like a sore thumb, I’ll eat their food on Wednesday. The problem is, I can’t take pics at work (I snuck it yesterday with my salad because I was in my cube), especially in a conference room full of people!
Want to hear the worst part about these meetings? I generally have every other Friday off, but I have to go in this Friday
It’s really not a big deal, but man, I love those days off! I look forward to them! I’ll survive, I suppose.
Another difficulty sourounding these meetings: afternoon cookies!!!! DOES YOUR WORK HAVE THESE??? Big, soft, delicious cookies always delivered around the 2 pm hour. I know you’ve seen them. I know you’ve had them. And I know you’ve LOVED them. They make me go:shock:
I’m going to try with my every might to eat my healthy snack that I have stowed away in the fridge at work, but if there are double chocolate chip cookies, I cannot make any promises! I’ll report to you tonight and let you know how I did

P.S. I do work out in the morning, but it’s too difficult to post workouts, bfast and lunch in the morning, so I’m going to do workouts at night. Cool? Cool!
